FIRST MINISTRY TRIP SINCE AUGUST HEART ATTACK
November 6, 2008
Dale and Rita Lidstrom ventured out last weekend for their first ministry engagements since Dale suffered th
at
massive heart attack last August 5th. God has miraculously
restored Dale's health. He and Rita left home last Thursday, and
arrived back in Yakima on Wednesday, November 5th. Their trip took them
to Vancouver, WA, for ministry
at an interdenominational seniors meeting Friday morning, and a
home
Bible study fellowship meeting Friday night. On Saturday, they
drove to Shady Cove, Oregon and stayed the weekend with Elvin and
Eunice
Huston. On Sunday, they ministered in the morning and evening services at the
Lozier Lane Baptist Church in Medford. The Lord's Spirit was upon
them in a wonderful way, and the congregation was deeply touched by
their songs, testimony, and words of spiritual exhortation.
This trip was a sort of "trial run" and a test of Dale's readiness to
resume ministry on the road. Upon his return home, Dale wrote, "Regarding
the matter of how I was able to take the ministry travels, I fared
well. I actually feel helped from it all. How good God
is!"
Dale is scheduled to have an Echo Stress
Test on November 13th, at which time he will receive his doctor's
assessment on his readiness to resume his regular ministry schedule.
They have already scheduled two more meetings on the 21st, and
30th of November. Click on the "MINISTRY ITENERARY" link at the
top of this page, to see their updated schedule through September
2009.

ABOUT DALE AND RITA LIDSTROM
Dale
and Rita have made the complete circle and are living back in the
Yakima Valley. It's hard to pin this couple down. Just when you
get your address book updated, suddenly they've moved again!
They've been the traveling' kind from the start. Rita
came to Northwest from Wapato, WA in the fall of 1963. Dale came
from Federal Way in 1964.
After
a couple of years at Northwest Dale was facing a hitch in the military
so he decided to get hitched to Rita first, and take her along for the ride. They spent the majority of their Military term in Okinawa.
They
worked in ministry there, and then when His military obligation was
complete Dale and Rita returned to Northwest College to finish their
schooling in the early 1970s. During that time they formed a
traveling ministry team called "The Northwesterners" teaming up with
Paul and Toni Brown.
Having now returned to the Northwest, Rita is focusing on writing a
book, and Dale is focusing on the development of his radio ministry.
They
continue to minister wherever the doors are opened to them.
They have always considered their ministry, a work of the Lord,
and have not promoted, solicited meetings, or placed financial demands
on those to whom they minister. Through the years they have lived by
the free will offerings of the churches, and by the sale of their tapes
and CDs. Dale and Rita have recorded more than a dozen albums in
Nashville, Dallas, and Oklahoma City. Their music is warm, and reflects
the timeless elements of faith and inspiration. Their latest
album, "In Praise of Him", was just released in 2007. If you
