VERNA (IHRKE) DITTY- Auburn, WA - On June 16, Verna wrote telling that their Jr. Girls Bible Quiz team from Auburn, WA. had won the 2005 National Bible Quiz Championship! To get an idea of what a great achievement this is, consider that there are over 8000 quizzers from over 1600 churches that participate in the Bible Quiz program. The auburn girls came in 2nd at District competition. At Regionals which included the best teams from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, & Montana, the girls came in 3rd. The best 7 teams from our Region were then sent to the National Compteition in Chicago. Here they faced 72 of the best teams from across the nation, and came out on top as the 2005 National Champs!  This is the first time a team from the Northwest Region has won a National Bible Quiz Championship in 20 years of national quizzing!
